Cookbooks, Cakes, and Cookies...Oh My!

Today was a bit of a treat -

I set off to wander round Guildford with the hubs and in-laws in tow. As per usual, after a few minutes wandering, I found myself in a bookstore cafe enjoying a lovely tomato, basil, and mozzarella sandwich and a warm cuppa. Afterwards, I took to browsing the cookery section where I picked up two new titles:

and
Terre a Terre: The Vegetarian Cookbook - by: Amanda Powley & Philip Taylor

3:30 rolled around and it was into the kitchen. Apron on. Jarvis on the beeb6 (yes, my cooking should be sponsored by BBC6 music). Today's menu called for the help of two AMAZING Vegan Cookbooks:

Being the wife of a vegan (and a veggie myself), I'm trying not to limit my time in the kitchen to the sole dedication of "veg only" treats. It's nice to cook the boy some sweeties he can eat every now and then. So my verdict is: these books are a godsend.
